We would all love to be more confident.

It’s hard to explain what it is, but we all know it when we see it. There is just that something about how a person holds himself or herself, their inner sense of style, how they walk and talk, that sets them apart from the crowd. Would you like to be that person?

You are YOU.

Being confident is not about what you do or say, and it’s not how you dress or look. And you certainly can’t copy someone else. Like self esteem or self worth it has to come from inside you. Expecting self worth from someone else is ‘other-worth’ and it has no value. You must give confidence to yourself. Like power you must take it.

Decide that you are ready to accept who you are; right here and right now. If you are waiting until you lose weight, get the job, find the perfect partner, have more money, more friends or whatever it is on your list, then you could wait forever. Drop the list and love yourself now.

You are enough:

You are perfect just as you are. You are enough: good enough, smart enough, pretty enough, to accept yourself. You have to decide it for yourself. Empower yourself with your own self-love and self-acceptance and confidence will follow.

This does not mean that we can’t improve. No, living your life consciously means that you are always learning and growing. Change and improvement is a natural part of life. And it is so much easier when we come from a place of inner peace and acceptance.

You are Unique:

There is no one else like you in the world; you are unique.   Do not compare yourself to anyone else. Do not judge yourself by anyone else’s standards. Do not try to fit in. Being you is the most effective way to create self-confidence.

If you allow someone else’s opinion of you to effect how you feel about yourself then you give all your power away. When someone says “I’m not pretty enough” then I ask him or her – compared to whom? Think about whom you are comparing yourself to – the super model on the magazine cover? It is not real. You are not that person. You are real, natural and perfect.

You are powerful:

Focus on what you want. When you accept yourself as you are, you can forget about any flaws or limitations and you empower yourself to do what you want. When you accept your own confidence you can achieve anything. Forget about who you are afraid you are not and be and do what you want. Liberate yourself from judgment and release your energy by doing the things you love to do. Forget about who you are and decide who you want to become. Create yourself every day and have lots of fun doing it.

If you’re waiting to get approval or acceptance from your friends or family then you’ll wait a long time. It’s not that they don’t love you or accept you; in fact it’s not about them at all. You simply have to acknowledge and accept yourself.

Self-confidence is the greatest gift you can give to yourself.
