Recently I had the opportunity to use a voucher to the Japanese Spa Sakura Lounge hidden away in an ally way, as all the best places are in Melbourne! It started with the most amazing extended foot treatment, including a soak, scrub, massage and moisturiser that lasted 30 minutes. I could have walked out relaxed then and there!

Next it was a tea break with Japanese Tea and the most amazingly yummy rice cake that reminded me of a mini treacle cake straight out of Alice in Wonderland.

Then my therapist arrives to take me through for my 60 minute Shiatsu massage, she must have been in her 60s and really knew her craft, apparently I’ve been hunching which has been causing the lower back pain. She stays with me for my 60 minute facial, which is an all-natural Waterlily treatment. The aromatherapy treatment leaves me struggling not to fall asleep, her facial massage is one of the best I’ve experienced. My only criticism of the treatment is being left while the masque was on, but I think I finally drifted off then anyway.

As she finished the luxurious two hour treatment, I was complimented on my skin and shown out to the relaxation room where I was advised to drink plenty of water as my body detoxed.

Needless to say I floated home. I will definitely be back! You can book your treatment here: http://www.sakuralounge.com.au
