Often certain scents can help us feel calmer, and may even trigger childhood memories or times in our lives when we felt more at ease. Pure essential oils can come in handy to help capture that feeling of zen and relaxation. One of the oldest remedies in herbal medicine to ease sleep and mental stress is Lavender oil. It is one of the most potent smelling oils, and you only need a small amount to get a great effect. What I love most about Lavender is that it is safe for all ages, skin types and even pregnancy. It supports the spirit and stabilises scattered energy to create inner tranquillity.

To soothe emotional stress, add 2 -3 drops of Lavender oil with a teaspoon of coconut oil, warm between the hands and massage the body wherever you need soothing. You can also add one drop to a tissue and focus on deep breathing so that the aroma can calm your system.
